Recovering the Lost Sabbath.
Religious soothsayers [priests, rabbis, ministers, etc.] will tell you,
that the Sabbath is on 'Friday', 'Saturday', or 'Sunday'. Which is it?

'Catholicism' and the majority of 'christianity' decree that 'sunday' is the 'lords' day. 'Seventh Day Baptists', and several other other 'Judeo-Christian' sects, observe the Sabbath on 'saturday', claiming that there has been an unbroken chain of consecutive seven-day WEEKS since creation. 'Judaism' practices a 'friday' night sunset to 'saturday' night sunset Sabbath observance for the same reason. 'Islamic' and 'Muslim' religions observe a time of prayer on 'friday' afternoons, but don't believe in a day of rest as such.

Frequently the question is asked, or should be if you sincerely want to know the truth: 'Would the ETERNAL really allow the knowledge of His Sabbath to be lost'? The answer, given in Lamentations, Hosea, Daniel, and elsewhere, is a resounding YES!

(Lamentations 2:6)[1] (KJV) And he hath violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were of a garden: he hath destroyed his places of the assembly: the ETERNAL hath caused the solemn feasts and sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion, and hath despised in the indignation of his anger the king and the priest.

"The ETERNAL hath caused the solemn feasts (mo'edim) and sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion". This theme is expanded upon in Hosea, chapter two. Here the ETERNAL is likening His people to an unfaithful wife who has gone whoring after other lovers. The ETERNAL's people have been an unfaithful bride to their CREATOR.

The prophecy of Hosea applies to the ETERNAL's people today. We like to quote the beautiful promises in the second half of that chapter as applying to the ETERNAL's people. These promises are precious. However, they must be looked at in context, and they are given in the context of the ETERNAL's betrothed having been unfaithful to Him. The result of this infidelity is clear:

(Hosea 2:11) (KJV) I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.

Therefore, the punishment is: "I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts". This is a clear reference, to the calendar by which the feast days, the new moons, the sabbaths, and all the solemn feasts are figured, just as in (Isaiah 66:23):

(Isaiah 66:23) (KJV) And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the ETERNAL.

More than that, this text conclusivly proves which calendar will be used throughout eternity; the one ordained from one new moon to another, because on the pagan solar-based Gregorian calendar, new moons are not even noticed and definitely do not begin the months as required by scriptural statute [law] (Psalm 81:2-4). By not valuing and preserving the truth, the people of the ETERNAL lost it. When the truth of heaven is not cherished as it should be, the ETERNAL removes it; He causes it to be forgotten. This opens the floodgates to all of the deceptions of Satan. Daniel goes on to clairify that Satan will target the CREATOR's Scriptural Calendar, and that the CREATOR will indeed allow it to happen:

(Daniel 7:23-25) (KJV) ²³Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. ²⁴And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. ²⁵And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

If "each of the ancient prophets spoke less for their own time than for ours, so that their prophesying is in force for us" then it is vital to look at this passage in light of the modern world. No one runs around claiming to be worshipers of 'baal' anymore. (Verse 17) gives a clue just how this is to be applied:

(Hosea 2:16-17)¹⁶ (KJV) And it shall be at that day, saith the ETERNAL, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more 'baali'. ¹⁷For I will take away the names of 'Baalim' out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.

However, the names of the weekdays: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, etc., are named after the planetary 'gods'. So we are still giving honor to false 'gods', when we specifically worship on one of their days of the 'WEEK', named in their honor. For example the Jews worship on 'Saturday', giving honor to 'Saturn' (dies Saturni). The Christians worship on 'Sunday', giving honor to the 'Sun' (dies Solis). It is a curious fact of calendar history that the pagan, planetary week originally began on Saturn's day (dies Saturni). That was the highest day of the week. It was followed by Sun's day (dies Solis), Moon's day (dies Luna), etc. The pagans worshiped the seven planetary 'gods' in the order they thought those planets orbited in relation to the earth. They thought that Saturn was furthest from the earth, so it held the preeminent position of importance, as the first day of the planetary week.

In this Roman stick calendar from the Baths of Titus, the days of the pagan planetary week, are represented by drawings of the seven planetary 'gods'. The first was Saturn's day which Sabbatarians have assumed corresponded to the seventh and last day of the Biblical week, the Sabbath. It was only later that the days of the week were rearranged with Sunday as the first day and Saturn's day as the seventh. The twelve signs of the zodiac can be seen in the circle in the middle, and they stood for the twelve months of the year, six of which were also named after pagan 'gods'.

The months of the Gregorian year, and the days of the planetary so-called "WEEK", are irreparably named after pagan 'gods'. It is these to which the passage in Hosea is referring. When people arrange their lives and their worship days by a pagan planetary calendar, the names of 'Baalim' are taken into their mouths. It is impossible to find the correct Biblical Sabbath on the paganized Gregorian calendar; and this is how the TRUE Sabbath, and the Creator is forgotten. By restoring to the final end-time generation the knowledge of His true method of calendation, the ETERNAL is bringing them back to Himself. He says:

(Hosea 2:14-15) (KJV) ¹⁴Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her. ¹⁵And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.

(Hosea 5:5-10) (LEB) ⁵The pride of Israel testifies against him, and Israel and Ephraim stumble in their guilt, and Judah stumbles with them. ⁶With their flocks and herds they will go to seek Yahweh, but they will not find him; he has withdrawn from them. ⁷They have dealt faithlessly with Yahweh because they have borne illegitimate children. Now the new moon will devour them with their fields. ⁸Blow the horn in Gibeah, the trumpet in Ramah. Sound the alarm in Beth-aven; look behind you, Benjamin. ⁹Ephraim will be a desolation in the day of punishment; among the tribes of Israel I will reveal what is true. ¹⁰The princes of Judah have become like those who remove a landmark; on them I will pour out my wrath like water.

When the people accepted the practices of paganism, the long night of the Dark Ages fell on her. By discarding the The Lunar Calendar Of The Scriptural Sabbath, and bowing to the decrees of Constantine, Hillel, and Pope Gregory, all 12 tribes of the childrean of Israel have since lost this knowledge, and the new moon has devoured them. However, the truth is advancing, and we must walk in the increasing light of the CREATOR's True Heavenly calendar, as the ETERNAL now purposes to reveal what is true:

(Daniel 12:3-4) (KJV) ³And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. ⁴But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Knowledge of seventh-day Sabbaths, based on the 'Lunar Heavenly Calendar is now being restored. This increased knowledge will shed light on the time of Jacob's trouble. The one act that will be foremost against this restoration effort, will be the creating of a universal "Sunday" Law. Keep in mind, that this new Sunday law will come disguised as a calendar change law, just as it was back when Constantine, Hillel, and Gregory first decreed it, which will again be globally enforced. This is Satan's blantent attempt to seperate the people from their CREATOR:

(Exodus 31:13) Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the SOVEREIGN that doth sanctify you.

Think about it. Satan's main target is Sabbath keepers, who [rightly] look to the The Lunar Calendar Of The Scriptural Sabbath, for determining when the ETERNAL is conducting all of His assemblies. Everybody else is already worshiping at the feet of the 'Baals' via the secular and papal calendars in use today. The final end-time generation is charged with a special commission; a commission Satan is desperate to keep them from doing:

(Isaiah 58:12) (KJV) And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

(Malachi 4:4) (KJV) Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.

Many people assume that the word "statute" applies strictly to sacrificial offerings. However, a careful search of scripture reveals that the word "statute" is never used to apply to offering a sacrifice. On the other hand, it is frequently couched in the following phrases: "it shall be a statute forever," "it shall be a perpetual statute," and "this shall be an everlasting statute."

The previous work of restoration and reform carried on by the former returned exiles, under the leadership of Zerubbabel, Ezra, and Nehemiah, presents a picture of a work of final spiritual restoration that is to be wrought in the closing days of this earth's history. The spiritual restoration of which the work carried forward in Nehemiah's day was a symbol, is outlined in the words of Isaiah:

(Isaiah 58:12) (KJV) And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

(Isaiah 61:4) (KJV) And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

The prophet here describes a people who, in a time of general departure from truth and righteousness, are seeking to restore the principles that are the foundation of the kingdom of the ETERNAL. They are the repairers of the breach that has been made in the ETERNAL's law. The wall that He has placed around His chosen ones for their protection, is their obedience to the precepts of justice, truth, and purity. It will be their perpetual safeguard. In words of unmistakable meaning, Isaiah points out the specific work of this remnant people; The restorers of paths to dwell in. And the most important among them is the Sabbath:

(Isaiah 58:13-14) (ISV) ¹³If you keep your feet from trampling the Sabbath, from pursuing your own interests on My Holy day, if you call the Sabbath a delight and the ETERNAL's Holy day honorable; and if you honor it by not going your own ways and seeking your own pleasure or speaking merely idle words, ¹⁴then you will take delight in the ETERNAL, and He will make you ride upon the heights of the earth; and He will make you feast on the inheritance of your ancestor Jacob, your father. Yes! The mouth of the ETERNAL has spoken.

In the time of the end, every divine institution is to be restored. The breach made in the law at the time the Sabbath was changed by man, is to be repaired. The ETERNAL's remnant people, standing before the world as reformers, are to show that the law of the ETERNAL, is the foundation of all enduring reform and that the Sabbath of the fourth commandment is to stand as a memorial of creation; a constant reminder of the power of the ETERNAL. In clear, distinct terms, they are to present the necessity of obedience to all the precepts of the Decalogue. They are to co-operate with Him in building up the waste places. They are to become "the repairers of the breach", and "the restorers of paths to dwell in".

Two Versions Of The Sabbath In The Ten Commandments.

Most religions today, observe their respective Sabbath day on either "Friday", "Saturday", or "Sunday". The Jews and others, refer to this as "the unbroken chain of seven-day 'WEEKS' since creation". They usually only cite the Creation in (Genesis 1:31-Genesis 2:3) as their proof:

(Genesis 1:31-Genesis 2:3) (KJV) ³¹And the CREATOR saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. ¹Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. ²And on the seventh day the CREATOR ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. ³And the CREATOR blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which the CREATOR created and made.

Now, Exodus chapter 20 lists the "Ten Commandments". And (verse 11), does indeed tie the Sabbath to the Creation. But when Moses repeats the commandments in Deuteronomy chapter 5 (verses 12-15), there is something unusual:

(Exodus 20:8-11) (NKJV) ⁸Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. ⁹Six days you shall labor and do all your work, ¹⁰but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the ETERNAL your CREATOR. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. ¹¹For in six days the ETERNAL made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the ETERNAL blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

(Deuteronomy 5:12-15) (NKJV) ¹²Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as the ETERNAL your CREATOR commanded you. ¹³Six days you shall labor and do all your work, ¹⁴but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the ETERNAL your CREATOR. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates, that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you. ¹⁵And remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the ETERNAL your CREATOR brought you out from there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm; therefore the ETERNAL your CREATOR commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.

Here, the Fourth commandment in Deuteronomy (verse 15), equates the Sabbath with the exodus from Egypt. When did the Almighty bring them out from Egypt with a mighty hand?

(Numbers 33:3) (NKJV) They departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month [a Sabbath]; on the day after the Passover the children of Israel went out with boldness in the sight of all the Egyptians.

(Deuteronomy 16:1) (NKJV) Observe the month of Abib, and keep the Passover to the ETERNAL your CREATOR, for in the month of Abib the ETERNAL your CREATOR brought you out of Egypt by night.

It is well known that they left Egypt on the Sabbath during the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at night. People today teach that the Sabbath of Unleavened Bread is different from the Seventh-Day Sabbath. But here they seem to be related, or even the same. They are linked by the Fourth Commandment as recorded in two different renderings, showing that the CREATOR utilizes a single calendar when giving dates for His Holy Feasts, and recorded events.

The Fourth Commandment in Exodus 20 clearly references the Seventh-Day Sabbath based on Creation. The Fourth Commandment in Deuteronomy 5 clearly references the Seventh-Day Sabbath based on the deliverance of the Israelites from Egypt, which occurred on the evening of the Sabbath on the 15th during the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which undeniably and positively pins the Seventh-Day Sabbath to the same calendar as all the other Feasts. You can't have it both ways!

The Israelites left Egypt on the day after Passover (the Sabbath of the Feast of Unleavened Bread) and it was the "fifteenth day of the first month" [a Sabbath]. (Passover is the fourteenth day of the first month of the year.) When does the first month begin? It is the first 'New Moon' [Full Moon] in the Spring, just after the barley is mature enough for the spring harvest. Every month in the Hebrew calendar, starts with the 'New Moon', called New Moon Day. For more articles on this topic, see the section: 'The CREATOR's Calendar' in the main index.

I find it interesting that those who believe in the 'Unbroken Chain Of Consecutive Seven-Day WEEKS Since Creation' myth [and it is just a myth], will cite (Genesis 1:31-Genesis 2:3) and (Exodus 20:8-11) as their proof that two different calendars are in use; a consecutive 'seven-day' calendar for the Seventh-Day Sabbath, and the CREATOR's Scriptural Lunar Calendar for all the other Feast Days. But they will never cite (Deuteronomy 5:12-15) which proves the CREATOR only uses His Heavenly Lunar Calendar for all of His Holy Appointments with the Israelites. Indeed, His Heavenly Calendar has been in mankind's sight from the beginning, and will continue to rule His Sabbaths, Feasts, and Appointments throughout all eternity:

(Psalms 19:1-3) (KJV) ¹The heavens declare the glory of the CREATOR; and the firmament sheweth His handywork. ²Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. ³There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

(Psalms 50:5-7) (KJV) ⁵Gather My saints together unto Me; those that have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice. ⁶And the heavens shall declare His righteousness: for the ETERNAL is judge himself. Selah. ⁷Hear, O My people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am the CREATOR, even thy SOVEREIGN.

(Psalms 97:6-7) (KJV) ⁶The heavens declare His righteousness, and all the people see His Glory. ⁷Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship Him, all ye [false] 'gods'.

What will be the end of those who refuse to see the [Heavenly] light? What will be the strength of those who do? Some will be rewarded and adopted as 'priests and Levites', while others will be 'fatally wounded' as 'destroyers will come to her'. As for those who would be 'the repairers of the breach', Yahweh declares: 'I will be the glory in its midst':

(Isaiah 66:21-23) (LEB) ²¹And indeed, I will take some of them as priests and the Levites, says Yahweh. ²²For just as the new heavens and earth that I am about to make shall stand before me, declares Yahweh, so shall your descendants and your name stand. ²³And this shall happen: From new moon to new moon and from Sabbath to Sabbath all flesh shall come to bow in worship before me, says Yahweh.

(Jeremiah 51:52-54) (LEB) ⁵²Therefore look, days are coming, declares Yahweh, and I will punish her images, and the fatally wounded will sigh through all her land. ⁵³Though Babylon goes up to the heavens, and though she fortifies the high place of her strength [congregations / churches], from me destroyers will come to her, declares Yahweh.

(Zechariah 2:5-7) (LEB) ⁵And I will be for it [the repairers of the breach] a wall of fire all around, declares Yahweh, and I will be the glory in its midst. ⁶Woe! Woe! Flee from the land of the north, declares Yahweh, for I have scattered you like the four winds of the heavens, declares Yahweh. ⁷Woe, Zion! Escape, you inhabitants of the daughter of Babylon!

There can only be one outcome from the 'Time of Jacob's trouble', in the closing days of this Earth's history. May the ETERNAL's remenant people today, restore "every divine institution" including 'His Heavenly Calendar', that the beauty and righteousness of His law might finally be displayed, and embraced, before all the people of the world. People need to stop telling the CREATOR how they want Him to walk in their ways, and start listening to the way He wants you to walk in His. Futhermore, first and foremost in that walk, is 'The Sabbath Day'.
